Employee EV charging works differently: it's a credit-restricted model where only HR-authorized staff can charge, billed to a company-managed credit wallet.
What's the difference between AC and DC EV chargers?
AC chargers (typically 7kW–22kW) are slower and best suited for destinations where cars are parked for hours, such as homes, offices and malls. DC chargers deliver much higher power for faster top-ups, suited to shorter stops. SkyVolt designs sites using the charger type that matches actual dwell time and available power supply.
Do I need to pay to install an EV charger at my property?
It depends on the commercial model you choose. SkyVolt offers outright purchase, zero-upfront-cost, and hybrid co-investment options depending on your site and whether it's open to the public. Exact terms are confirmed during a free site consultation.
Is SkyVolt compliant with Malaysian electrical regulations?
Yes. Every SkyVolt installation includes a compliant EV distribution board built to Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) standards, with Shunt Trip Emergency Stop, MCB and RCCB protection as required.
Does SkyVolt charging work without downloading an app?
Yes. SkyVolt supports Tap & Charge using any contactless bank card, as well as app-based charging, QR and RFID access — drivers can choose whichever is most convenient.
How long does EV charger installation typically take?
Timelines vary by site complexity and authority approval requirements, but most projects move from site consultation to commissioning within a few weeks once a proposal is approved. We'll confirm a specific timeline during your consultation.
What maintenance is included after installation?
